Why is Abrasion Resistant Plate used?
The Abrasion-Resistant Plates are high-carbon alloy steel plates. This means that AR is harder because of the addition of carbon and is formable and weather resistant due to the added alloys. The carbon added while the formation of the steel plate greatly increases the toughness and hardness but reduces the strength. Abrasion-resistant steel plate is a normal steel plate that possesses a tougher, harder quality that lasts about four times longer when compared to a standard high-strength structural steel plate. These plates show immunity to tear and wear. These plates are manufactured using carbon, manganese, nickel, chromium, and boron and are added in different proportions.
Abrasion-resistant steel wear plates are created primarily by a heat treatment process. Quenching and tempering forged steel ingots or blocks produces AR material. The material undergoes through-hardening as a result of this process, which modifies the grain structure to make it stronger and more formable. It is not necessarily the tensile strength or the yield strength. The wear-resistant plate also has high impact resistance. It does not shatter on impact like other non-abrasion-resistant steels.
Mechanical Properties of Abrasion Resistant Plates:
• Yield strength
• Tensile Strength
• Enlargement
Our company produces these Abrasion Resistant Plates are highly requested by customers inferable from its high quality, sturdy execution and rough development Apart from this, these Abrasion Resistant Plates show a phenomenal mix of high imperviousness to effect, workability, weld capacity and imperviousness to scraped area.
Applications of Abrasion Resistant Plates:
• Mining industry machinery
• Earthmoving machinery
• Heavy wear platforms
• Industrial hoppers, funnels, and feeders
