What is Wear Plate?
A wear plate is a product used to protect machinery and equipment from various types of damage. Typically, these plates safeguard machine and equipment parts from wear and tear. The manufacturing processes of wear plates include raw material cutting, welding, inspection or assessment, repair welding, precise cutting, and levelling. These wear plates are made from different materials, such as abrasion-resistant aluminium and mild steel. Common types of wear plates include C954 Aluminium Bronze, 4140QT, 4340QT, AR400, and AR500.
Wear plates are abrasion-resistant liners applied to surfaces subjected to harsh impact and rolling abrasion to decrease wear and tear. Incorporating wear plates like the wear plate 400 ensures enhanced durability and longevity of the machinery.
Benefits of Wear Plates:
• They can prolong the lifespan of a part of a component
• Wear plates can improve the quality of results
• The size of this plate can be combined or cut to cover any area
• Easy-to-handle size can be installed without heavy lifting equipment
• These plates have a hardness that is used for extreme applications.
These wear plates are easily installed, replaceable, and much less expensive to replace than the machine or part they are intended to protect. They provide some advantages like reduced cost of replacement parts, reduced cost of maintenance, and reduced downtime, and this wear plate increased the output These plates are designed to be useful for a variety of equipment and goods used in mining, earthmoving, and other industrial sectors. These plates are well performed in high temperatures.
Application of Wear Plates:
• General Industry: Liners for bulldozer moldboards, front-end loader buckets
• Mining, cement, and brick industries
• Power plants
• Steel Mills
