Hardox® For Construction
Hardox® is Abrasion-Resistant steel that is an ideal match for Construction purpose as it has a high-performance. Hardox®® 500 Tuf Plates is the first 500 Brinell (HB) with structural steel-like characteristics. In a single use, it provides great strength, extreme hardness, and guaranteed toughness. When compared to normal 400 HB Abrasion Resistant steel, the material has a 70-100 percent longer service life and better dent prevention. Hardox®® 500 Tuf Plates is a grade that combines the greatest features of the Hardox®® 450 Plates and Hardox®® 500 wear steel grades.
It has specified impact energy of 27 J at -20°C and a typical value of 45 J at -40°C for 20 mm plate. Hardox®® for Construction Guarantees from SSAB include tight thickness tolerances, tight flatness tolerances, and tight bending guarantees.
